Some of us hadn't seen The Sopranos until we got the DVDs. Does it tick anyone else off that the season five DVD boxset contains MAJOR show spoilers right on the cover? It reveals, in one fell swoop, every single major character that dies in the show! Thank you very f$%#^ much HBO!

Amazon has the best prices for purchasing almost anything that I have looked for and the quality is excellent. The Sopranos was in new condition as I ordered it and as Always watching the Sopranos was Great. I have nothing bad to say about the SOPRANOS I LOVE THE SHOW. I have all their Seasons except the Sixth Season which I will purchasing next on Amazon. Thanks so Much

We had previously purchased three of the previous season's of the Sopranos for Christmas gift for my father-in-law. He had asked about them after catching part of the Season 5 (late-starter) and we had picked it up after he was recovering from a five-way bypass surgery and knew he was going to be in bed alot. He recovered very well (Thank God!) and he never any had a chance to watch Season 1. He recently began asking about the other Season's and telling us what price he had found them for ($90 AT THE MALL: WHAT A RIPOFF!!) I told him that I would look online, because I thought it would be significantly cheaper (we had got them for $55-$60 at Sam's Club 2 years ago). I found them online via Amazon for half of the price of what the mall was charging. We were able to buy it as a stocking stuffer and still have enough to buy him a great golf club he has been searching to find (they don't make 1-iron's anymore, who knew?. Well he has since then began watching the Series and we are pleased with the quality for the great price. Hope this review helps.

this is a must have for a real sopranos fan this disk pulls at you from many differnt ways along with going inside the lives of the major players it shows the heart and soul of the man Tony Sopranos as he deals with all the mess with his private circle.along with the fact thjat his life as he is accustomed to is fallen apart. Especially after the hit is put in place to wax chirs girl a camplying drama for those of us who like real gangster drama

Thank God for DVD's so you can fast forward through all of the worthless family drivel marketed to women as shamelessly as Wesley Crusher was marketted to pre-adolescents in the Star Trek series. This shows emphasis on the family life is an obvious appeal to semi- intellectuals in much the same way The Passion of the Christ was when it made its play with the subtitles. If I had to watch this show in real time, well I just couldn't.
And much of the mob action is also piss poor. When we think about the protection rackets do we really want to know how they play out in the lawn maintenece industry?
Admittedly, since the fast forward button was put into such liberal effect, I might have missed something, but why did Tony B go off the reservation and place his entire family in jeopardy when he could have just worked for Tony in the first place? And what was that botched job with Phil? Well, whatever. Eventually, the season redeemed itself with the end of the Adrianna and Tony B storylines, but the fluff is so obviously forced just to fill the season which should have been cut in half. Are we really so addicted to t.v. that we can't see that this is the most overrated show on t.v.? I'm addcited to it just because I keep hoping it will get better and Gandolfini and a few of the others really are that good, but its quite silly all of the uncritical praise it recieves.
