Editorial Review:
Description: Music's most famous sisters, Ann and Nancy Wilson, have been successfully writing and performing chart-toppers since their 1975 debut album. From acoustic to folk to hard-driving rock 'n' roll, the ladies instill emotional energy into every song. This special hometown concert showcases a rich musical legacy that's distinctively Heart! Songs: Barracuda, Sister Wild Rose, Mistral Wind, Wild Child, Dog and Butterfly, Magic Man, Crazy on You, Dreamboat Annie, Love Alive, These Dreams, Alone, Two Faces of Eve, Break the Rock, Heaven, Straight On, Black Dog, The Witch, Mona Lisa and Mad Hatters, Battle of Evermore.
Amazon.com: Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson and the rest of Heart are in good form in this solid if unspectacular 100-minute concert video, shot in 2002 in their hometown of Seattle. The sisters, of course, are a good deal older than in Heart's '70s heyday, and their bandmates have changed, but the group's sound, led by Ann's powerful vocals and Nancy's instrumental versatility, hasn't changed much; that's a good thing for those who revel in the likes of "Barracuda," "Magic Man," and other oldies. There are several brand-new songs here as well, and the ongoing influence of Led Zeppelin is readily apparent, not only in the covers of Zep classics like "Black Dog" and "The Battle of Evermore" but also in Heart's commingling of pastoral acoustic sounds and hard rock. And after 19 songs, even the most ardent Heart lovers should be well satisfied. --Sam Graham

Heart is one of my favorite groups - Ann Wilson can sing ballads such as "Dreamboat Annie","These Dreams" and "Dog and Butterfly", she can also handle hard rockers such as "Magic Man","Straight On" and "Barracuda" which has been used in the 2008 Presidential race. Interestingly, Senator Hillary Clinton earned more Votes than any Presidential Primary candidate in the history of America -The Denver Group.

This Rocks in HD. I was worried after reading a few reviews that the concert was bad or the recording was sub standard. Much to my relief this was incredible.
I have never heard their version of "Battle of the Evermore" sound better.
This whole thing makes me want to move to Seattle so I can see them live again and again. I have only had the pleasure once of seeing them live and that was back in the 70's before Barracuda came out as I remember.
My only other thought was I wish they would have done "Mother Earth Blues" and "Devils Delight".

definitively a masterpiece with the best you can dream in terms of video pictures, sound and musical performance.
I didn't expect that when i ordered this blu ray. I was just looking having something from this band in the 70's in nostalagia with "boston" and all the others...
Then came the blast of this concert...these ladies and the band rock with talents difficult to find in today's music. Some great led zeepelin "reprises". woah...don't hesitate one second for buying.

Ann's voice is as strong as ever and Nancy still looks cute as she jumps up and down while strumming power chords! ;)
This is a great performance with strong picture quality and excellent sound quality. One of the bad things about the HD DVD - Blu Ray war was picking a side and having titles released exclusively in the format you didn't own. This was originally released on HD DVD and I was able to catch the show on HD Net. I knew that I'd add it to my collection once it was released on blu ray.
This has a good set list with a little Led Zeppelin thrown in too. This is a must for die hard Heart fans and for others who'd like to add a Heart concert disc to their collection.

I bought this as an upgrade to the stardard version on Dvd i owned. I thought it would be a huge upgrade considering all the great reviews. I loved this performance however if you own it on reg dvd its not worth the upgrade. save your money. the audio quality is no better than regular DTS.
the picture quality is only slightly better.
