Album Description: International pressing drops the US track, 'Unbroken' but features two tracks not on the US edition, 'They Weren't There' and 'Casualty. Missy Higgins was thrust into the limelight when she won Triple J's 'Unearthed' competition. The Sound Of White is her anticipated debut album including the #1 hit single 'Scar'. Missy Higgins has been playing at cafes in Melbourne for some time now. She was discovered by Triple J's "Unearthed" competition. What an unearthing it was. She's got a talent that is missing from many acts today. Her music has warmth, honesty and creativity which endears the album to the soul.
I sometimes buy an album on a whim and am more often than not, only finding a couple of songs I like. I bought this one on a whim knowing "Ten Days", "All For Believing" and of course, "Scar" from the radio. I fell in love with the earthy feel that delights all the way through the album. If you have a whim to buy an album - I would full recommend this one!

Trust me when i say buy this immediately. Rarely do you find a CD that you can listen to from first to last song without itching to push the "next" button on you player...this is ONE. Every song is great in its own right.

This album is truly amazing, her talent far exceeds any 21 year old musician I have ever heard. I got the honor of seeing her Live in concert with Howie Day, and knew that night I would buy her album. She has a great personality to go along with her amazing talent.

The Sound of White is the debut album from Australian singer/songwriter Missy Higgins. I recently picked it up after months of speculation, but now wish I hadn't waited. This is truly one of the finest albums I have heard in recent years. Where do I begin? The breathtaking title track sends shivers up my spine every time, and then there is the beautiful "Ten Days" and the latest single "Special Two". More fine tracks fill a great collection. The piano player is just mesmerising. The only fault I have with the album is the very first single "Scar" which I have never liked, it does feel out of place on the album (in my opinion). Aside from this very minor detail, I highly recommend Missy's debut album to all. Do what you can to get a copy.

If you like this, try out these other artists that you may never have heard of: Alice Peacock, Aimee Mann, Rilo Kiley, Nathan, Tristan Prettyman and Stretch Princess.
This album is great, and I would highly recommend it. I have Rhapsody, so I don't buy music like all you idiots.
