Editorial Review:
Description: Christmas is a time for family and in ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS, that is all young Ethan and his little sister really want. When their parents get divorced, the two kids, along with the aid of their grandmother, construct a plan to get their parents back together.
Amazon.com: In this family-friendly holiday film, all Ethan and Hallie want for Christmas is for their parents to get back together. Catherine (Parenthood's Harley Jane Kozak) and Michael (Chicago Hope's Jamey Sheridan) have been divorced for a year and now Catherine's dating a guy no one can stand, including her mother Lillian (Lauren Bacall). Michael, meanwhile, has opened a successful diner, but he misses Catherine. When Hallie (Thora Birch, years before American Beauty) overhears Catherine tell Lillian she and Tony (Kevin Nealon) are planning to marry, she and Ethan (Sweet Home Alabama's Ethan Embry) come up with a plan to strand their parents alone together on Christmas Eve. Hallie even asks Santa (Leslie Nielsen) to help them out. All I Want for Christmas doesn't pack any surprises, but it's suitable for all ages and features lively cameos from Andrea Martin as Lillian's housekeeper and Renée Taylor as Catherine's rodent-fearing wedding planner. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

A GREAT movie, five-stars all the way. One of my family favorites. Sweet and very funny. A must have for any movie library.

This is absolutely one of the best modern Christmas films you never heard of. The kids and I watch it every December at a minimum, but more often than not at other times during the year as well. If it doesn't put you in a holiday spirit, nothing will. It's fun, fanciful and heartwarming and chock-full of fine stars (stage-and-screen legend Lauren Bacall, comic genius Leslie Nielsen, Ethan Randall/Embry and Thora Burch in their first films, Kevin Nealon (Saturday Night Live), Jamey Sheridan (Law and Order) and Harley Jane Kozak (of drop-dead gorgeous fame, need I say more). If you don't buy another holiday movie, you simply must buy this one.
