I have been doing the Hips & Thighs of Steel workout for years and am so glad they released it on DVD! This is a true low impact workout that really gets your heart pumping, and the toning section will really get your legs into shape. I do wish they had put this with an abs and arms routine, though, so that you could tone the whole body.

As a person who has never taken an aerobics class I found the movements incredibly complex in the aerobic sections. As I continued to work through the discs it does get easier. I love the toning portions and those kept going while I learned the other parts.

I've noticed some on here don't like this workout, and if you prefer to stay modern-only, then I can see why that would be. My mom has this on VHS and I tried and liked the whole platinum series, so when I saw this on DVD I had to get it. The 3 lovely ladies that take you through this routine are peppy and fun, yeah, my only complaint is that aerobics are very 80's style (which I like) and for the first few times, hard to learn the choreography. But if you're like me a week or two of doing them and you'll be spinning, grape-vinning, and rock-stepping with the ladies : ) The toning sections are easy and non-confusing, and not overly-stressful on the muscles. I think this workout is bubbly and fun and I recommend it if you loved the enthusiasm of the 80's and 90's style workouts. : D

Yes, this is an older workout routine with cheesy outfits and music.
If you can get past that, this is by far the most effective routine I have found for slimming down those hips and thighs.
I, however, like Leisa Hart the least out of all the instructors
and find Tracy and Michelle's segments to be much more fun.
Give this one a try!
