Editorial Review:
From Amazon.co.uk: First of all, hats off to Bon Jovi for trying something different with This Left Feels Right--a selective collection of their most popular songs with a twist. That twist isn't a purely acoustic reworking, MTV unplugged style--anybody looking for that experience will be sorely disappointed by what's on offer. What Bon Jovi have done is re-record these songs in a completely different way while maintaining the original lyrics, melody and song structure. What's different then? Well, quite a bit actually. Check out the almost trip-hop beat and distorted vocal of "Wanted Dead or Alive", or the lazy soul of "Livin' on a Prayer". "It's My Life" is a beautiful piano-only standout, almost worth having the whole album for.
The tracklisting isn't perfect, concentrating largely on their 1980s period (there's nothing from These Days, for instance). As such, the venture works as an effective cheese-extraction exercise, keeping the elements that made the originals so great, but removing shouty, hairspray-fuelled "whoa-yeahs". What we get is something that is closer to Jon Bon Jovi's last solo offering--the criminally underrated Destination Anyway. It doesn't always work ("Bed of Roses" just sounds like a warbling cover of the powerful original and by the time they reach "Always" it's obvious they've run out of new twists), and no doubt there will be legions of bemulleted faithfuls who will denounce this as blasphemy of the highest order. Sure, it's probably just record-company filler, but it's a worthwhile investment and you won't be embarrassed to have it on when your mates come round. --Cortman Virtue

I wanted a Bon Jovi's greatest hits for Christmas and I was so excited to listen to all their songs I love..........and big disappointment. I buy greatest hits CDs because all the ORIGINAL greatest hits on one CD (seems obvious)

It's sad that people ask for the same old thing over and over. Give the artist a minute to get over playing the same song the same way everyday for 20 years or so. I like the mix up.

I got this for my teenager for Christmas. She eagerly put it in her CD player right after tearing it open...and neither she nor I could believe it was even the right CD. I learned my lesson not to buy an album without listening to the samples first because this is most definitely not what she wanted.

I missed the part of the title that said Greatest hits "with a twist". Was expecting just the songs I know and love. The words are the same but the music different, slower. Not a fan at all :-(.

I bought this piece of crap from Best Buy. It said simply "greatest hits with a twist" and had a lot of songs I have heard from Bon Jovi so I stupidly bought it. I had no idea what the "twist" was--it was not explained on the package. I think this is the worst music I've ever heard and I love(d) Bon Jovi. I tried to take it back to Best Buy and they wouldn't take it back so I'm out about $20 for something I would not pay 20 cents for. There is nothing redeeming about it-it doesnt' get any better. I learned that I will only buy music where I can hear it first.
