When I first listened to this band a couple years ago, I was blown away. The lead singer Ville Valo is truly a poet and a romantic. His lyrics are absolutely amazing. Ville sings about both love and death with out being too corny or pretentious. He sings what's in his heart, and I love that. The songs are absolutely beautiful. "Razorblade Romance" is one of HIM's best albums. I am able to listen to their music over and over with out getting sick of it. "Your Sweet Six Six Six" and "Join me in Death" are definitely my favorites. The whole album cover to back is perfect! Buy it !!

This cd is terrible, just like all of HIM's other albums. This "band" is nothing more than a slick marketing machine: a bunch of goth posers wearing too much eyeliner, and of course with their own symbol, so that teenage girls can buy it and stick a "heartagram" on their backpacks. Avoid this at all costs, and buy a Katatonia album instead, if you want to hear the real thing instead of a shallow band built around gimmicks and a marketable image.
Tonight's Decision
Last Fair Deal Gone Down
Viva Emptiness
Great Cold Distance

Although it is a highly produced sound unlike their other albums, the music itself will make up for that. It's very rare for me to find an album that I can listen to the whole way through and honestly like every song almost equally.
Some people judge HIM based on the fact that their singer (Ville) is friends with Bam Margera. I highly encourage you to not do this as I do not like Bam Margera and still enjoy HIM quite a bit. This album is awesome, but if you think the produced sound is going to bother you and you have never heard much of HIM, try buying their album entitled Love Metal first.

H.I.M.'s second album, RAZORBLADE ROMANCE, released in 1999, is one hell of a worthy follow-up to that of their debut album, GREATEST LOVESONGS VOL. 666. The album is jam-packed with heavier tunes and lyrics that sound even more poetic than that of the songs on their debut album.
YOUR SWEET SIX SIX SIX (Re-Recorded Version)
Original version from the album GREATEST LOVESONGS VOL. 666 (1997). This remix doesn't sound any different than the original album version, which can be found H.I.M.'s first album. Still a great song.
POISON GIRL
Third single from the album. What an amazing song. Come to think of it, most girls out there today are, indeed, poison.
JOIN ME IN DEATH (Razorblade Mix)
First single from the album. There is no different between the album version and the remix. The piano in this version sounds more synthesized than on the original. The piaon on the original sounds more like a real piano. Great song.
RIGHT HERE IN MY ARMS
Second single from the album. Another great song.
BURY ME DEEP INSIDE YOUR HEART
Great Song.
WICKED GAME (Re-Recorded Version)
Original version from the album GREATEST LOVESONGS VOL. 666 (1997). Still an amazing cover. No difference between both versions.
I LOVE YOU (PRELUDE TO TRAGEDY)
Great.
GONE WITH THE SIN
Fourth & final single from the album. Another great song.

Razorblade Romance is the second studio album by HIM. With this album the band's popularity began to rise, their single "Join Me in Death" from the album reached #1 on the German music charts, selling over 500,000 of this single in two months. All songs and lyrics on the album, with the exception of Chris Isaak's Wicked Game, are composed by Ville Valo.
This album is amazing, also is not as commercial as the last ones. Give it a try!!
