This collection of NWA's raps is awesome. NWA introduced the world to gangsta rap, with their brutally straightforward storytelling about life on the mean streets of South Central and the dysfunctional lives of some of the people who live there. These guys were awesome as a crew while they lasted. I first heard Straight Outta Compton in 1989 and can STILL sing some of the songs from there in my head almost verbatim. Now that's impact for you. The hits I remember from that CD are there and a bunch of stuff I guess from Niggaz 4 Life [I never owned that one]. The raps are interspersed with cuts from live stage acts and some commentary from the rappers. All in all, it works very well. This CD is definitely worth having for any fan of hard-core rap.

The best thing NWA could have put out the showed that the east is not the only place to have a serious place in Hip-Hop.

You should have all the albums by this group but this is also great to have and the two new songs are good too. All the songs are my favorite and this album is worth having in your collection. It is too bad that they will never be another group like this because these guys brought gangsta to mainstream and a lot of these rappers today owe there careers to this group. Anyways just buy this and be happy you are hearing sounds from the underground.

This is real gangsta rap, not that fake gangsta shxt of today. And without N.W.A, Eminem would start with rapping after that 2pac or biggie began. And there really dump people out there who think that N.W.A is north west airlines, look at the cover, does that look like a north west airlines album (if there exist one) and then those dump ass people say this is shxt, but i think that you can compare this to rock in the early days, because this group changed the gangsta shxt and if don't like cursing words: you should buy the clean version, bcuz this is the BEST rapping group, 10 times better then G-unit (I wear G unit clothes though) or other rap-groups and this greatest hits is just a must have.
Here come a top 5
1: straight outta Compton 25/10, maybe the best beat ever and lyrical very good
2: 100 miles and runnin'24.5/10, another legendary beat. The videoclip is one of the best videoclips.

4: Real nxggaz, 9.9/10 great beat and funny lyrics ("and if it comes to dxcks, you don't even have one")
5: Fxck tha police, 9.8/10 beat and if you got caught by the police, you must listen to this.
Other tracks that i must comment.

Nice! All dope N.W.A songs on one album. I had to pick this album up without hesitation. I highly recommend this album to all West Coast rap fans, and any old school fans.
I love the lyrics on this album, all the members came w/ energy and heat. They talk on topics mainly pertaining to women, police, and other wack people.
The production is definately off the hook! All dope beats, "Real Ni**az Dont Die" has a really dope beat. This album beat wise is definitely full of good beats.
Make sure to pick this album up, there's no way you can be dissapointed with it.
