I was never a fan of the series and saw very little of it, but one scene with a dwarf speaking backwards/forwards is very memorable. Another scene in a barn, with a foghorn in the background for no reason at all was brilliant. David Lynch has a great ear for sound and Angelo Badalamenti compliments that perfectly.
I first heard this CD in an oil painting class and I still love it. It is great "background music" for artistic exploration, or intellectual pondering. The CD is largely instrumental and creates a very consistent mysterious mood, punctuated by a few short surprises. If you are in a relaxed mindset, you can play this CD over and over and it never really gets boring, it just keeps on flowing. Time stops, and there is just the music, and you; and you are enchanted. Welcome to Twin Peaks.

this is my favorite angelo badalamenti composition. he did a couple good tracks on the lost highway soundtrack, but this one is all his (i think). if you watched the show you probably remeber the main title which is solid, but some of the other tracks are just classic evocative pieces. david lynch knows how to pick a score. but this album stands on it's own even if you have never seen the show.

excellent chill out music for relaxing, to focus on, driving to...etc. totally amps up the coolness factor no matter what the situation.

Great music from the classic show. If you are a TP fan and don't have this then shame on you.

Back in 1992, my younger brother kept insisting I listen to the soundtrack from Twin Peaks. I resisted. I gave it a cursory listen. It was too dark, too sinister! But I kept coming back and listening. And listening. Suddenly, I was in love. I couldn't STOP listening. I've worn out one cd already and am on my second cd. If I could listen to one cd only, it would be this one. Fortunately, I don't have to limit myself! I own "Fire Walk With Me," and am about to buy "All New Season Two Music."
Yes, it IS dark and sinister music. But it is also great jazz and haunting melodies. It speaks to the dark side in all of us.
