Product Description:
Pat Buchanan is sounding the alarm. Since 9/11, more than four million illegal immigrants have crossed our borders, and there are more coming every day. Our leaders in Washington lack the political will to uphold the rule of law. The Melting Pot is broken beyond repair, and the future of our nation is at stake. In this important book, Pat Buchanan reveals that, slowly but surely, the great American Southwest is being reconquered by Mexico. These lands---which many Mexicans believe are their birthright---are being detached ethnically, linguistically, and culturally from the United States by a deliberate policy of the Mexican regime. This is the “Aztlan Plot” for “La Reconquista,” the recapture of the lands lost by Mexico in the Texas War of Independence and Mexican-American War. Comparing the immigrant invasion of America from across the Mexican border---and of Europe from across the Mediterranean---to the barbarian invasions that ended the Roman Empire, the author writes with passion and conviction that we have begun the final chapter of the Death of the West. Unless the invasion is halted now, Buchanan argues, by midcentury America will be a country unrecognizable to our parents, the Third World dystopia that Theodore Roosevelt warned against when he said we must never let America become a “polyglot boardinghouse” for the world. President Bush’s failure to halt the invasion and secure America’s border, Buchanan writes, is a dereliction of constitutional duty that, in other times, would have called forth articles of impeachment. In the final chapter, “Last Chance,” he lays out a sweeping immigration reform and border security plan, which, he contends, if not pursued, means George W. Bush’s legacy will be to have lost for America a Southwest that was the legacy of Sam Houston, Andrew Jackson, and James K. Polk. With an estimated ten to fifteen million “illegals” already here and tens of millions more poised to pour across our borders, few books could be as timely---or important---as State of Emergency. It is essential reading for all Americans.

Mr Buchanan has written a masterwork here, a dead on critical analysis of the most pressing problem we face today. That is uncontrollable,unmonitored,unlimited immigration.More and more of the worlds Third World trash are polluting our states from shore to shore. Invading like mongol hoards in all directions.They don't assimilate, don't want to, come for the freebies and are getting them with increasing numbers, like in the millions!The taxpayers, you know, you and me, are footing the bill via ever increasing taxes and loss of rights.Yes, yes, I know they aren't all bad. In this much I can agree.There are law abiding, intelligent, hard working types who want a better life and they should get it.But there is also a large, REALLY large, percentage of unwanted, unmotivated useless criminals and other assorted world trash being deposited daily on our shores and staying.What has our government done about it?Absolutely nothing.They arrive, head right down to the benefits office,apply for all the entitlements, get them, and laugh at the stupid Americans as they commit crime, do drugs,don't work or pay taxes and increase their numbers by keeping their female counterparts perpetually knocked up,crowding our prisons and draining what resources there are, originally meant for a those in need, Americans in need, not illegal aliens looking for a free ride.They become untouchable and undeportable even in the face of criminal activity or illegal status by law.Can you believe that?This deplorable ... I bought this book because of all the great reviews and was not disappointed. I really enjoyed a lot of the history in this book and it has been a great tool for argument on illegal immigration.
God Bless People like Patrick Buchanan

Buchanan may just be writing the most important books concerning the collapse of Western Civilization----but who is listning?
He spelled out in chapter and verse,what was taking place in the Western World,in his book "Death of the West",in October,2002.Once again ,he shows that the West is continuing its march to oblivion,and even shows that it will be ,for all intents and purposes,completed by as soon as 2050.If you think that is so far off,just look back the same number of years to 1960 and compare things to today;
1960 2008
World Population 3 Billion 6 Billion
Caucasian 750 Million ( 25%) Now 8%
Pop.USA 180 Million 300 Million
Pop of Asian & Hispanic
in US 5 Million 57 Million (12-20 Mil.
Ill.Aliens) There are now 36 million immigrants in The USA,almost as many as between
1600 and 1960 and of which 90% are from countries who have never assimilated into any western country,and all this against the will of the vast majority of Americans; in spite of the government stating that the demographics of the country would not nor would it be permitted to change.
If you are wondering why a Canadian would be concerned about this;the reason is simple.
The same changes ,and probably even to a greater extent,are taking place in Canada. ... Read More

Patrick Buchanan's readable style and straightforward approach to a difficult problem, makes this book outstanding in its field. His use of commonly accepted statistics, historical trends and today's headlines assures the reader that they are on solid ground. As usual Mr. Buchanan is a bellwether of common sense and the ideals of our Founding Fathers. Immigration IS the issue of our times.
