Editorial Review:
Product Description:
Personal vendettas, hidden treasure, and a monkey named Carl will send bounty hunter Stephanie Plum on her most explosive adventure yet.
The Crime: Armed robbery to the tune of nine million dollars
Dom Rizzi robbed a bank, stashed the money, and did the time. His family couldn’t be more proud. He always was the smart one.
The Cousin: Joe Morelli
Joe Morelli, Dom Rizzi, and Dom’s sister, Loretta, are cousins. Morelli is a cop, Rizzi robs banks, and Loretta is a single mother waiting tables at the firehouse. The all-American family.
The Complications: Murder, kidnapping, destruction of personal property, and acid reflux
Less than a week after Dom’s release from prison, Joe Morelli has shadowy figures breaking into his house and dying in his basement. He’s getting threatening messages, Loretta is kidnapped, and Dom is missing.
The Catastrophe: Moonman
Morelli hires Walter “Mooner” Dunphy, stoner and “inventor” turned crime fighter, to protect his house. Morelli can’t afford a lot on a cop’s salary, and Mooner will work for potatoes.
The Cupcake: Stephanie Plum
Stephanie and Morelli have a long-standing relationship that involves sex, affection, and driving each other nuts. She’s a bond enforcement agent with more luck than talent, and she’s involved in this bank-robbery-gone-bad disaster from day one.
The Crisis: A favor for Ranger
Security expert Carlos Manoso, street name Ranger, has a job for Stephanie that will involve night work. Morelli has his own ideas regarding Stephanie’s evening activities.
The Conclusion: Only the fearless should read Fourteen.
Thrills, chills, and incontinence may result.

I know a lot of people gave Fearless Fourteen a bad review, but I thought it was just great! Another fun installment in the life of Stephanie Plum and her crazy friends. I love all of the Plum series and am currently in the process of reading the series again. I can't wait until June for #15...luckily I'll get my Evanovich fix in January with the arrival of Plum Spooky.

I have read the entire Plum series and was looking forward to this one. Not as interesting as the past 13 but still a good read.

I HAD THOROUGHLY ENJOYED READING THE FIRST TWELVE BOOKS OF THE STEPHANIE PLUM SERIES. NUMBER THIRTEEN WAS SO-SO, BUT THIS ONE WAS ACTUALLY SO BORING IT WAS PAINFUL TO FINISH. ALL THE CHARACTERS WERE FLAT. THERE WAS NO SIZZLE AND VERY FEW LAUGHS. I HOPE BETTER THINGS ARE TO COME...

if you have been around teenagers and their world at all you will love Plum 14. The language the ideas the strange characters made for an enjoyable read. For those who didn't like it... come on... you don't buy Stephanee Plum books for substance. Tons of the usual laughs in this book

The time has come for JE to take a break from that Stephanie Plum books. I have been a fan since the first book and I can tell you that reading the last three books including FF has been a chore. In fact, I returned FF to the library without finishing it because imo the whole plot was boring and out-dated.
I also hate the way Lulu has been written in the last two books. She is becoming almost bitter and hateful instead of the free-spirit she once was. And her relationship with Tank is just embarrassing on all accounts.
And as much I did like the fact that cars, empty guns and Rex were not mentioned as much. This Stephanie had absolutely no real depth or passion. I am not sure if JE can write Stephanie as a complex and balanced character but that is what is needed if she expects Stephanie to grow as a character.
Also as much as fans want Stephanie to pick a side imo that won't ever work and nor should she. As long as Stephanie continues as a bounty hunter she needs the balance of both men. However, the problem I have is that Joe has now become so damn dull and it almost seems that he should be with Stephanie because his character is non-existent without her. IMO JE should also write Joe and Ranger as individual characters and tie Stephanie into their story line's. This will flesh out their characters and also give Stephanie more depth. Because Joe going to work and wanting to have sex every other page has lost its appeal to many readers. And ... Read More
